At Geneva Motor Show Volvo has showcased its new mid-sized premium SUV named as XC60. Earlier, Volvo itself released the spy shots of new Volvo XC60. The Volvo is expecting to increase more sales in the SUV range as Volvo’s 30% worldwide sales are based on it. However there are no major changes in the new XC60 from the previous models of Volvo.
The interiors and exteriors have given a slight touch when compared to the current models but it shares the same platform. The new XC60 SUV is a classic beauty as it comes with an athletic look and is a masterpiece from Volvo. This would give a heads-up for other SUV’s in the current market. The Volvo XC60 SUV is a mix of fantastic materials and latest high-end technology.
The Volvo XC60 comes with a powerful T8 twin petrol engine which produces 407hp. The XC60 can hit 100kmph in just 5.3 seconds. The all new SUV from the Swedish car maker will cost you €35,000 and this is the exact price of the new Volkswagen Arteon sedan model. However along with XC60, a new XC90 has also been launched with some immense features and specifications
The Volvo XC90 comes with diesel engines starting from D4 diesel engine which can produce 187bhp while D5 diesel engine can produce a 232bhp. Along with diesel engine, a petrol XC90 is also available which can produce 251bhp and this would be a perfect car for people who are looking for a performance-oriented car. All the varaints comes with 8-speed auto transmission.
The production of Volvo XC60 and XC90 will begin from the next month at Volvo’s native, Sweden. The new XC60 SUV will be released first at UK and then will hit the roads globally. These models will help Volvo to improve its position in the world automobile market.
