The current situation in Korea is very unpredictable. DPRK, Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (North Korea) is not heeding to the UN sanctions laid on them and is continuing to Test its Ballistic Missiles.
Friday saw another ballistic missile launch test off the North Korea, which aggravated the situation further. As the US carrier strike group led by Carl Vinson sailed to Korean peninsula and is expected to dock in the waters of South Korea this weekend. Recently US deployed a nuclear capable submarine is already stationed in the region.
The U.S. has already started deployment of its THAAD missile defense system in South Korea and it is expected to complete the entire system by the end of this year. This is taken as a provocation by the DPRK and resulted in exchange of strong words between the two countries. With tensions rising in the region, it is China that has to play a bigger role in this conflict.
The U.S. started its diplomatic pressure on China in the recent visit of Chinese Premier, which has led to a significant reduction in the Coal trade between China and North Korea by over 60%. China has to improve its stand and regulate the North Korean unless which a military action may be the left out choice for the U.S.
As per the sources, the U.S. might wait until an Inter-Continental Ballistic Missile (a missile that can reach the American continent) test is conducted by North Korea. As U.S. has warned earlier, a fierce military action leading to mass destruction is not too far!
