In the recent times the love for the 7-seater SUV’s has been increased. By seeing the change in the people’s mindset the Automobile manufacturers are now concentrating more on SUV models. In the recent times all automobile manufacturers are releasing new SUV based cars. Mahindra has already released SUV models before but now Mahindra is going to launch a new SUV 7-seater based on SsangYong LIV-2 concept.
This new SUV by Mahindra will replace the Korean SsangYong completely. The Mahindra SUV will follow the same dimensions and implement the same features but with some modifications. It is named as Y-400 when it was unveiled at Paris motor show. The new Y400 comes with an comfortable and a wide cabin space as it comes with 1,800mm height, 4,850mm in length and 1,960mm in width. This Y400 has a massive wheelbase of 2,865mm.
The Mahindra Y400 will have a 9.2inch monitor screen integrated in the dashboard. The new 2.2 litre Euro 6 diesel engine will generate 180 bhp. This new Mahindra Y400 is truly a competition for Toyota’s Fortuner and Ford’s Endeavour. The Y4oo will be available in three versions. First one is operated by 6 speed manual gear box, second is a 6 speed auto gearbox for petrol version and a 7 speed auto gear box for diesel version.
The Mahindra Y400 will be showcased at seoul motor show with complete versions. The Y400 will be released in the markets worldwide in March 2017. But it will be released in India at the end of the year due to certain reasons. The price of the new Y400 will be lesser than Toyota’s Fortuner which is an added advantage for Mahindra Y400 in the Indian Market.
