If you want your PAN card to be valid then you need to link it up with Aadhaar card as soon as possible. It was proposed in this year’s budget that the two main cards of Indians should be linked up and Friday, 30th June is the last date to link PAN card with Aadhaar card.
What happens if I don’t link Aadhaar and PAN?
Your PAN card gets invalid and you can’t make any financial and banking processes. Wherever there is use of a PAN card, your PAN card will not work if you don’t link it with Aadhaar card.
How to Link Aadhar card with PAN card?
Visit the income tax e-filing portal at https://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/ and enter your user id and password to access your profile. If you are a new user, then you can register on the portal by entering basic registration details such as PAN, name and date of birth.
Once you are logged into the portal, go to the “Profile Settings” tab. A drop down menu will appear. Click on “Link Aadhaar”. A new form will be displayed and fill all the details and confirm submission.
