Honda is prepping o launch a new adventurer tourer in India. Honda’s new Africa Twin is getting ready to make its debut in India. The new Africa twin will be the powerful bike from Honda and is a perfect off-road bike. From many years Honda is trying hard to launch an adventurer bike in the Indian two-wheeler market and finally Honda accomplished it with Africa twin.
This new Africa Twin from Honda has already unveiled in the last year’s Auto expo and it has announced at that time that it would bring the Africa twin even to India. The Africa twin will be manufactured in India itself for the Indian two-wheeler market. Honda will produce Africa twin units at Manesar plant. This new off-road bike will be the highlight of all the Honda bikes.
Honda Africa Twin specifications
The new Honda’s Africa Twin gets a powerful 998cc liquid-cooled 4-stroke unicam 8-valve parallel twin engine paired with 270 º crank. This ultra-power engine can produce 94hp of power at 98Nm of torque. Africa twin is available in two different variants: a manual 6-speed transmission and an automatic 6-speed DTC. But for the Indian market exclusively automatic variant is available. Honda is not having any plans to launch a manual Africa twin in India.
The best part about this new Africa Twin is that the seat is adjustable according to your comfort and ease. It helps you a lot when you are going for a long ride as it has a good suspension and Honda Selective Torque Control (HSTC). The price of Africa twin won’t be cheap and it may cost you around Rs 13.5 to 14lakh. The Africa twin will give a hectic fight for BMW 1200GS, Triumph Tiger and Ducati Enduro. The release date is set for July of this year.
