We all know how wonderful the PES 2017 was! Japanese video game developer Konami has developed a new Pro Evolution Soccer (PES) which gives a realistic experience of the soccer players in the game. The PES 2017 has received many accolades and the response for the game is pretty good. Well, everything seems perfect until Diego Maradona has offended the game as he claims that he was shown in the game without his permission.
Diego Maradona played for Argentina and Barcelona as midfielder. Diego Maradona claimed that his likeness was used in the game by Konami without concerning him. The former soccer player stated that he would sue Konami for this scam. Maradona said that “Recently I came to know that the Japanese developer konami has used my image in its new game PES 2017. My lawyer will commence the legal actions on the Japanese company”.
PES 2017 is a rival for EA’s most popular FIFA game. Diego Maradona image was used in the PES 2017’s myClub mode similar to FIFA Ultimate team feature. Diego Maradona appears as legendary football player and he is the only player in game with highest rating of 98. However Maradona labeled Konami as a scam which is in existence since 2001.
There were no reports on what kind of actions will be taken on Konami by Diego. However there are also chances of compromising and there were rumors that Konami is trying to approach Diego Maradona for compromising on the issue. PES 2017 is giving a tuff fight for EA’s FIFA 2017 and PES 2017 is also getting a good response from the customers. There are many similar options in PES 2017 just like EA’s FIFA Ultimate.
