When does Delhi Metro Phase 3 starts? This is the only question which is going around many people’s mind in Delhi. Delhi Metro phase III is the most awaited transportation project for Delhi people. Delhi metro phase 3 will help people travel long distances in the city quite easily.
The Delhi Metro Phase 3 will linkup Pink and magneta lines covering a distance of almost 90km with 61 metro stations. The complete work of Delhi metro phase 3 will be completed by March 2018 and will start functioning. But the only metro corridor of Nizamuddin and IP extension located in east Delhi will not be operational.
That corridor is struck in certain issues of land acquisition. The 58km-Pink Line will connect northwest Delhi’s Mukundpur to northeast Delhi’s Shiv Vihar by connecting various south Delhi areas which also include Sarojini Nagar, INA, South Extension and densely populated parts of east Delhi such as Mayur Vihar Phase I, Vinodnagar and Karkardooma.
The 34-km-long Magenta Line will be started in two stages, one in the month of March while another one in the month of October. Once Delhi Metro phase 3 starts, it will cover almost entire Delhi.
